Yunnan Province is arguably one of China's most breathtaking, geographically diverse and culturally fascinating regions. To enable you to get up close to its colourful ethnic minorities and rare natural environments, we have designed a world class cycling adventure like no other. From the provincial capital of Kunming we travel to the World Heritage town of Lijiang and begin with a warm up ride around Lashi Lake to experience rural life of the Naxi people. Taking the backroads out of Lijiang with the snow capped peaks of Jade Dragon mountain as our backdrop, we cycle to the water terraces of Bai Shui He and the tiny town of Da Ju on the banks of the Yangtze River. Crossing by ferry we hike through Tiger Leaping Gorge staying in small local guesthouses along the trail. Back on the bikes and its one magic moment after the next with the first bend in the Yangtze River at Shigu, hot springs of Eryuan, ancient bridges of Shaxi and finally the beautiful cobble stone streets of Dali where we complete our cycling odyssey.
