Cycle Manchuria 14 Days

Rendezvous in Beijing and own transfer to station for overnight train to Dalian. Overnight on train.

Morning arrival in this beautiful port city. Check in hotel. Fitting on bikes. Warm up bike ride along Binhai Coastal Road, enjoying the peaceful and quiet atmosphere.

Commence cycling on rural country road to Zhuanghe. Admiring the beautiful view of country side and coast line.

Cycling on flat country road to Dandong, a city bordering with North Korea, passing by fertile rice fields and small villages.

Day tour of the broken bridge on the Yalu River and local museum of Korean War. Afternoon ride along the Yalu River watching households and people on the North Korean side. At the end of the bike ride, visit to a small section of the Great Wall.

Bike ride along the border with North Korea. From time to time you will see North Korean soldiers patrolling with AK-47 on the other side of the river, or groups of them working on the farm fields. Continue cycling to Tonghua.

Cycling 100km and transfer by support vehicle to Dunhua, admiring the view of the great mountains and see the rural life of the minority people.

Transfer 30km out of city and cycling 50 km along the most beautiful Jingbo Lake. You may continue cycling for another 50km to Mudanjiang.

Transfer 60km out of city and cycling 100 km on beautiful flat country road to Harbin.

Day tour visiting Sofia Church and Tigers’ Park. Afternoon optional visit to the site of #731 Troops (a Japanese troop stationed there during 1930s and 1940s to conduct biochemist experiments on living humans, who were mostly arrested guerrillas who fought against Japanese.

Cycling along the country road to Changchun, capital city of Ji Lin Province. Enjoy the view of green fields, green mountains and villages tucked away in the hills.

Morning visit of Puppet Emperor’s Palace. Afternoon cycling 60km to Shenyang, admiring the view enroute. The cycling trip finish here.

Morning visit of Imperial Palace, used as the imperial palace. Afternoon transfer to Chengde, a city near Beijing.

Morning visit of Imperial Summer Villa and Puning Temple with a 22 meter high wooden Buddha with 42 arms. Afternoon transfer back to Beijing. Trip finishes after arrival in Beijing central.
