3-Day Shanghai and Hangzhou Tour

Overview

Discover the highlights of Shanghai and Hangzhou on this 3-day trip. Check out the famous scenic spots including Nanjing Road, the Bund, City God's Temple, Yuyuan Garden and Shanghai Museum on a full day walking tour, meeting local people as well as experiencing the local life. Hop on a bullet train to Hangzhou for a vision of the West Lake, exploring its calm waters, pavilions and islands. Visit Lingyin Temple to learn more history of Hangzhou, then head to Longjing Tea Plantation for a hands-on experience of the green tea.

Day 1 Arrive Shanghai

Arrive in Shanghai by either flight or train and be transferred to your hotel. After a short break, you will visit the start with a walking tour of Shanghai’s Puxi area starting along Nanjing Pedestrian Road down to the famous historical Bund riverfront for views across the river over the ultra-modern skyline of Pudong area. Continue the walk through the historical old city area to Yu Yuan Gardens. Finish with a visit to the Shanghai Museum, with a collection of over 120,000 pieces of art and cultural relics, making it the biggest museum in China.
Day 2 Day Tour to Hangzhou by bullet train

Morning bullet train to Hangzhou where you start the tour at West Lake. The entire lake is ringed on three sides by mountains and one side by the city proper. With the green hills, willow trees, elegant bridges and clean spring water around, the view of the West Lake is simply enchanting. Continue with a visit to Lingyin Temple, a celebrated Zen Buddhist temple founded in 326AD. After lunch a visit to a Chinese green tea plantation where you can try to pick the tea leaves, taste a nice cup of tea and learn the history and processing procedure of tea. Finish with a tour of the Six Harmonies Pagoda meaning "harmonies of the heaven, earth, east, west, south and north". Return back to Shanghai in the evening.
Day 3 Depart Shanghai

You are free to depart at any time and be transferred back to the airport or train station.
